Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Louden.
Hi Cassandra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
# How I Got Started
Austin Cart Co. started with one simple idea: purchasing a champagne cart to rent for baby showers, bachelorette parties, weddings, and luxury events. What I didn’t expect was how much a single cart could completely transform a space. I quickly realized it wasn’t just about serving drinks—it was about creating an experience and becoming part of the event’s design.
That sparked my creativity. I began designing custom carts and exploring new concepts, from flower bars and dessert carts to interactive food experiences and branded pop-up activations. I loved experimenting with different ideas and finding ways to create something guests had never seen before.
As the business grew, I was introduced to an incredible caviar company called Altima Caviar. The COO Alayna taught me everything about the product, sourcing, and presentation. I saw an opportunity to elevate luxury catering even further and decided to make caviar service one of our signature offerings.
Bringing that vision to life wasn’t easy. Because there wasn’t really a blueprint for what I wanted to create, I spent countless hours navigating health permits, food safety requirements, licensing, insurance, and operational logistics to build the business the right way. It took a tremendous amount of time, research, and persistence to become one of the first companies offering luxury mobile caviar activations in this way.
Today, Austin Cart Co. has grown far beyond that original champagne cart. We create fully customized, branded experiences for companies and private clients alike—from caviar bars and flower bars to coconut carts, gelato carts, matcha bars, champagne service, and other one-of-a-kind activations. Every event is designed from the ground up to feel unique, memorable, and tailored to each client’s vision.
Looking back, it all started with one cart and a simple idea. That one idea evolved into a company built around creativity, customization, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been building a business around concepts that didn’t really exist. There wasn’t a roadmap for luxury mobile caviae service or many of the custom activations we offer today, so I had to learn everything through research, trial and error, and a lot of persistence.
I also spent a significant amount of time navigating permits, health regulations, food safety requirements, and licensing to ensure everything was done correctly. Every challenge has made me more knowledgeable, more creative, and has helped shape Austin Cart Co. into the company it is today.
Another challenge has been helping people understand what we do. Luxury pop-up activations are still a relatively new concept, so part of my job is educating clients on how a custom experience can transform an event and create something guests will actually remember. It’s about selling an experience, not just a product.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I built Austin Cart Co. from a single champagne cart into a luxury experiential event company. Because what we do is still a relatively new space, there wasn’t a playbook to follow. I couldn’t copy competitors—I had to create my own concepts, figure out the logistics, and educate clients on an entirely new type of experience.
What sets us apart is our ability to turn simple ideas into unforgettable branded activations. Every event is custom-designed, from luxury caviar experiences to flower bars, gelato carts, coconut carts, and interactive pop-ups tailored to each client’s vision.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been working with brands I once only dreamed of. From my first event with Neiman Marcus to activations for Tory Burch, Lexus, Coca-Cola, Brightline Watches, and Austin FC Stadium, every opportunity reminds me how far we’ve come from starting with just one cart.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
