Today we’d like to introduce you to Chele & Erin Robinette & Andrus.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are moms and friends who have each recently sent our youngest children to college. The first year they were gone, we enjoyed getting together with friends and building care packages to send to the girls. Conversations during that time led us to wonder if we might want to offer a care package and concierge service for parents who aren’t familiar with Austin to be able to send a token of thought and love to their UT students.
In the spring of 2026, we put together a limited number of “Finals” Care Packages and promoted them through social media. We were thrilled with the response and took the summer to make a plan for how to move forward. We opened the school year with special packages for sorority recruitment and back to school encouragement which has led us to where we are now with steady orders from parents as they celebrate life’s moments with their students from afar.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Though we wouldn’t describe it as an obstacle, we have realized the opportunity to capitalize on each of our strengths with projects or new ideas. We both bring conceptual enthusiasm to the table, while also making room for our creative and logistical strengths wherever they may lie.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our business is one of service to college students and their parents. We provide care packages that parents can order and have delivered by us to their student. Parents can send a box full of goodies or even a personal charcuterie just to say “I’m thinking of you”. They can also send a cake and balloons with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate a birthday. Though we give parents options to choose from, we have a personal communication model that allows them to reach out and request things that may be particularly meaningful to their child. We are a concierge service and want to be available to help parents from afar whether their child has their first ailment away from home or is celebrating a milestone while at school.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
As far as luck goes, we have certainly been on the good side of it. The philosophy that “luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity” is something we hold in high regard. We put a lot of energy into being prepared for what may come, and though our business is still young, it has been a great experience thus far.
