Meet Drayke Jacobs of Way of Life wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drayke Jacobs.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I struggled with major depression from my teenage years until I was about 26 years old. During that time, I worked all kinds of jobs, including janitorial work, warehouse jobs, and driving commercial trucks. I hated where I was in life, but I didn’t have the motivation to change it. Everything shifted after my daughter was born. I realized I didn’t want to be the kind of father who went to bed hoping he wouldn’t wake up the next morning. That started my journey toward better health. I completely changed my diet and began questioning everything I thought I knew about nutrition and health. Within two months, the depression I had lived with for more than 10 years was gone. That experience made me realize there was so much more to health than I had been taught.

Since then, I’ve spent years studying nutrition, longevity, peptides, and regenerative medicine to better understand how the body works. Today, I’m the Head of Research & Education and Wellness Coordinator at Way of Life Wellness. I also founded the Austin Immortality Conference and help clinics bring new therapies to their patients through consulting. More than anything, I want people to know they aren’t always broken. Sometimes they just haven’t been given the right information or the right tools. My curiosity changed my own life, and now my goal is to help others improve theirs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Besides struggling with depression for more than 10 years, one of my biggest challenges was believing I couldn’t accomplish anything meaningful. I spent years working jobs that paid the bills but left me feeling stuck, and I lacked the motivation to change because I didn’t think it would make a difference. Even after I found a path that worked for me, I had to overcome the skepticism that comes with challenging conventional ideas about health. Many of the things I now advocate for were considered fringe when I first started learning about them.

Another challenge has been earning credibility in a field where I don’t have a traditional medical background. Instead, I’ve had to let my work, research, and the results I’ve helped people achieve speak for themselves. Looking back, every obstacle pushed me to learn more, question more, and become a better educator. Those experiences are a big part of why I’m so passionate about helping others find answers they may not have been given elsewhere.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Way of Life wellness?
Way of Life Wellness is a telehealth clinic focused on preventative medicine, hormone optimization, peptides, and regenerative therapies. Our goal is to help people improve their health before disease develops rather than simply treating symptoms after the fact. We combine advanced lab testing, personalized treatment plans, and lifestyle changes to help patients improve their quality of life and long-term health.

What sets us apart is our commitment to education. We believe patients should understand why they’re doing something, not just be handed a prescription. Every protocol is built around the latest scientific research while still being practical and individualized. I’m especially proud of the work we’re doing to bring innovative therapies to more people and to challenge the idea that declining health is simply a normal part of aging. We want our patients to live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Pokemon, video games, and tcgs were a big part of my childhood. Understanding how to problem solve and optimize while thinking on the fly to adjust to problems in real time was a skill set that I didn’t realize i was building until you asked me that question. Probably one of the earliest memories i have was playing pokemon yellow on the game boy color and having a surfing pikachu that let me play the surfing pikachu mini game.
