Meet Jason Richard of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Richard.

Hi Jason, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began music at age 12 when my father undenounced to me mailed me a guitar. I played in bands, got signed recorded toured etc.,
In 2012 I joined Roky Erickson’s band and toured the much of the world with that project.

In 1996 I began dabbling with recording, which turned into an obsession. First for my band and before I knew it I was recording my friends’ bands. It has kept growing from there.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Now the life of an artist is going to be HARD!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in audio. Recording. Sound design. Publishing music. Distributing music. Producing artists. I take pride in knowing the history of music and the recording arts.
I can convey my audio desires to a VAST array to musicians(instruments), and genres. I speak music in clearly defined communication.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Austin was wonderful, a melting pot of hippies, cowboys, business types, vibrant culture, and arts.
I guess to a certain degree it still is, but the influx of transplants has changed the vibe of the city.
