Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When the pandemic hit, I found myself drawn to the world of blogging and content creation. I dove into User-Generated Content (UGC) and took on the role of an Amazon Influencer. These experiences were transformative, sharpening my skills and boosting my confidence to manage an Instagram account effectively.
Over a year ago, I decided to embark on a new adventure with my toddlers, exploring every corner of Cedar Park and North Austin. But here’s the thing: despite the vast amount of information available online, I often found that Google and other resources didn’t capture the true essence of local places. I was looking for a more intimate understanding—a fuller picture of what these hidden gems had to offer.
Taking toddlers to new places can be intimidating, full of uncertainties and “what ifs.” It’s a challenge I know all too well. So, I decided to create something special: CedarParkMomVlog. I wanted to build a friendly guide for families like ours—a place where we could share the best family-friendly spots, uncover hidden treasures, and offer recommendations that are truly kid-approved.
Looking back, I’m so grateful for how CedarParkMomVlog has evolved. It’s incredible to see how a simple idea turned into a platform that truly supports and connects our local families. Every new follower, every comment, and every event we host reminds me why I started this journey—to make parenting in Cedar Park a little bit easier and a lot more fun.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Currently, I am in the process of forming an LLC for CedarParkMomVlog, marking the next phase of this venture. Fortunately, I have not encountered significant obstacles thus far.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator, which means I create and share engaging content online, primarily on Instagram. I’m a one-woman show! I do everything for CedarParkMomVlog myself—from researching and visiting places to filming and editing. I handle all the Instagram analytics, editing and uploading, trends and social media research, graphic design, voiceovers, and anything else that goes into full-on production. Because we are so hands on, we get to have those full personal experiences of these local places and businesses. Which helps us take these real life first hand experiences, and give the community authentic and relatable content.
How do you think about happiness?
I love spending time with my children and watching them grow in so many different ways. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them blossom, discover new things in real time, and witness the expressions on their faces when something clicks for them. Their silly antics and the funny new things they say daily bring so much joy to my life.
