Today we’d like to introduce you to Keaviaa Daniels
Hi Keaviaa , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
as a little girl I always had a passion for hair , from going to the salon to get serviced and watching all the beautiful women leave smiling and just feeling good about themselves . I went to dothan high school in Alabama where they have a DTC (Dothan Technology Center ) where we could pick any job/craft we were interested in and of course I chose cosmetology as mine . after graduating in 2016 I did hair on the side while working a job . in June 2020 I was in a terrible car accident which left me in a terrible predicament but I never gave up on faith . by September I was walking , and also getting around with no additional assistance. still then I wanted to do hair , hair was peace for me . in 2021 at the end of January decided to move to San Antonio , TX. I was working but eventually lost my job . I stepped out on faith and decided to pursue my passion with doing hair here . I got my first client May 2021 and my clientele grew so much from there . I’ve always wanted to go to cosmetology school to obtain my license , so in 2022 I got accepted into Ogle Cosmetology school in San Antonio . while I was attending school my clientele grew so much , my craft had even gotten better . eventually I graduated cosmetology school in April 2023. I am currently in my salon suite where I service my clients now to give them such a luxury experience .
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
has it been a smooth road ? not always . coming from a small town in Alabama and coming to a big state is scary and also building your clientele . it took a lot of dedication and posting content and having a lot of word of mouth . and also going to cosmetology school 9-5 and starting clients at 5:30- until done . also learning how to be a business owner (running a business ) . its a lot of things you learn within the journey .

I specialize in extensions and natural hair . my most popular are my traditional install and wig installs . the main thing I am proud of is how much my brand has grown from working in my room at my grandfathers house to now in Texas in my own salon suite . when coming to K. Daniels Hair Co. I can ensure you have a wonderful experience and you will leave in such amazing joy . my goal is to make you feel even more beautiful then when u first come in . what sets me apart from others is that I invest in my craft every year , whether its taking a class , going hair shows , buying hair tutorials . I always invest in myself due to me wanting to learn more about my career and also the hair industry changes everyday . there is always something new .
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
might I say I have a great support system . my mom who was initially the first person to invest in my brand with my very first one on one class with Chanelle Kimbrough , my brother , my friend whitney / makeup artist , and literally my clients and friends who remind me how talented and strong I am . my mentor with helping with my rebrand . and I can’t forget touched by tj such an inspiring friend . they just remind me at times when I want to give up and things just get too frustrating and very overwhelmed that this is apart of my journey . giving up is not an option .
