Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina S.
Hi Kristina , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Music has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was a little girl about seven years ago. I decided I wanted to become a DJ four years ago. I wanted to become a producer today. I own my own company to throw these events and I’m able to get up close and personal with some of my absolute favorite artists that inspire me every single day I just want to make the world a happy and better place by building a strong music community that supports one another
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think any road worth traveling is smooth. If it was I probably wouldn’t be here. I’ve definitely had to fight to the nail, especially as a female in the industry. Everyone knows most of the music industry is a male dominated in industry and for me to stand out, I really had to network and build those relationships and trust and support others when I was doing those things I was only doing it by simply showing love and being myself it shows showing up and showing love goes a long way, and I paid attention to that thankfully, I didn’t realize by just being myself and loving what I do and being around people, I love that I was going to be able to do that as a career, which is something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m really happy I did
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a professional DJ and music producer. I taught myself how to produce on Ableton. It took me 20 minutes every day for four years. I didn’t have a mentor. I didn’t have any experience. I barely had any friends that were barely getting into anything I wanted to do as well, so I literally had to learn everything on my own from scratch. I will say, though it has been absolutely worth it all my trials and tribulations all those late nights trying to work on Music trying to come up with creative songs. It definitely pays off as long as you don’t give up.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I have learned 1 million lessons and I know I’m still learning and I’ll never stop learning but one thing I can honestly say I took from everything I’ve experienced is that no one‘s going to believe in your dreams more than you are and you can’t let anybody take your vision away from you even if it sounds crazy you have to log in and believe in yourself if anybody can teach anybody any lesson it’s to believe in yourself so much that you sound delusional and once you prove your delusional becomes reality, you can be happy and say you’re so proud of yourself for pushing through! (:
