Hi Ladibug , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi My Name is DJ Ladibug. I am originally from Louisiana. I currently reside in Corpus Christi Texas. I started out djing in Central Texas. Weddings, night clubs, retirement parties, etc. Although I would have to admit, weddings and karaoke are my favorite events to DJ. I currently am retired from Djing for 3 years. I also have done radio podcasts, and won many awards. Also local newspaper features twice. I am a member of the trail ride group Soul Trail Riders. Now I am the CEO of my Line Dance group Called Southern Steppin’ Alliance. We are a small group of 3 members and 5 Honorable Members. We will build but slowly. To ensure we have the right “family” of Line Dancers. I also Co-Wrote and viral hit called F**k Up The Town. With a very good friend, and Professional Comedian, Deezil GREEZIL is his stage name. He’s a genius and helped me with the song.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has always been a smooth road. Djing is a male dominated role. There are women DJs but not many. Luckily I had support from male DJs. I did not get treated differently from anyone because I was a female.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a FT Executive Assistant by day, at a Rehab Hospital. We take care patients who have had strokes, falls, car accidents, etc. To help them get strainer and walk again. To be able to continue doing the things they love. I will help on the work the floor if there is a change in staffing and they need help.
