Hi Robin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Before The Videre became the venue it is today, it was a large piece of land with a ranch and horse stables on the property. The Collins family then came in in 2022 and purchased the 400 acre estate with the idea to turn it into a venue for weddings and events.
We turned the horse stables into a cleaned up and remodeled barn for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and after parties to give a little piece of Texas to all our couples! It also has some overnight accommodations in there for the wedding party and any guests. The original ranch house near the Stables was recreated, remodeled, and expanded to become the luxury venue it is today. We built in a deck that sits elevated at over 90 feet above our lake to give couples a dreamy backdrop to say “I do”.
The Main Hall is primarily what we’re known for. All marble flooring, windows surrounding the hall giving a 360 degree view of the estate, Hill Country, and private lake. Watching guests arrive to our venue for a wedding might be my favorite part of wedding days. They are stunned at the views and quality of the venue. It’s nice knowing all the hard work building the venue, all the time spent selecting the finishes, the chandeliers, the flooring, now gets to be enjoyed by 1,000s of visitors and host 100s of celebrations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Owning a venue as large as this one is not always smooth! A wedding day is never the same and always so unique, so it’s important for our team to be on top of it and ready to help. We take care of on-site lodging, bar services, and have now added in-house coordination. But we’re lucky to have an incredible team who foresees many issues before they happen and to have a team who cares about each client’s day and vision.

The Videre Estate is owned by the Collins family. We’re primarily a luxury wedding venue just an hour South of Austin, TX in the Hill Country. Couples love our venue for the luxury finishes, clean aesthetic, and great views of a private lake and Hill Country.
We’re very proud of a few different things honestly. We’re proud after every wedding and knowing we did the best we can do for each of our couples to make their dream day come to life. We’re proud of the team that helps execute every wedding from being on the frontlines to all the work that goes on behind the scenes!

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Myself, personally? I am very much a go-getter! Started working for my dad’s business when I was 14. Got my driver’s permit the day I turned 15 1/2 since that was the earliest I could get it! Started college at 16 and post-college worked in corporate events for luxury brands! I worked with big companies like Tesla, Oracle, F1, and Red Bull!
I then met Will (one of the owners at The Videre), fell in-love, and now we’re actually set to get married here at our venue in a few short months!
