Hi Rosalinda , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
From my youth years, I had a strong aspiration to become a professional hairstylist. My childhood hairstylist, recognizing my passion, encouraged me to pursue this career path, assuring me of my enjoyment and offering to provide her equipment upon her retirement.
Now, with 24 years of experience as a hairstylist, I have had the pleasure of working in several locations across Texas, including Kingsville, Corpus Christi, Austin, Round Rock, and now Pflugerville. I am dedicated to staying current with beauty education, allowing me to incorporate unique color applications, foil techniques, and haircutting methods to create the latest and most fashionable styles.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
That is not always the case. Throughout my career in the salon industry, I have had the opportunity to work in several salons due to relocating to different cities. I have learned the importance of patience while establishing a clientele. When I moved to Austin, braids were quite popular, but I was not yet proficient in them. Fortunately, a coworker kindly taught me a new braid technique each day, which I would diligently practice until I had mastered it. Working in that salon also helped me to step outside of my comfort zone by working with a diverse range of hairstyles and hair types. Now that i have grown in my career I’m currently running my own salon.
We’ve been impressed with Cozy Rosie Salon , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Currently, I am employed in Pflugerville, Texas, in a private studio environment. As a blonde specialist with experience in highlights, balayage, and achieving full blonde transformations, and with years of experience in the hair industry, I have acquired substantial knowledge and completed numerous courses to further refine my skills.
What sets me apart is the individualized attention provided to my guests, which includes a private room and a comprehensive salon experience featuring cuts, coloring, highlights, keratin treatments, and a variety of other services.

My parents have always encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming a hairstylist, and I am deeply grateful for the sacrifices they made throughout my childhood. Now, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my husband, who has consistently motivated me to achieve my dreams, goals, and the items on my bucket list. I am now the proud owner of a private salon and have the opportunity to travel the world. Finally, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of my clients for their unwavering support over the past few years, including their referrals, their trust in my skills, and their consistent kindness.
