Sol & Root Wellness is no stranger to change and rebirth. What started as Cosmic Intentions in 2021 eventually grew and blossomed into the Sol & Root team and brand you see today. Sol & Root was officially established in 2024. Spending the first year in an intense trial and error phase, the business itself underwent immense growing pains that shifted the direction of the business into new heights.
Since rebranding in 2024, Sol & Root has grown into a team of two. Run by partners Salvatore Sol and Kyle Sorensen. The couple has worked together to bring the Sol & Root vision to life. Celebrating healing and community through accessibility, intention, and wellness.
Sol & Root Wellness is based out of Elgin, Texas. We serve the Austin-metro area, including Bastrop, Taylor, and Elgin through local markets, fairs, and pop-up events. Alongside cultivating a growing digital community. As a mobile metaphysical store, apothecary, and healing center we offer spiritual healing services and products aligned with specific intentions to support anyone’s spiritual journey no matter your faith or path.
Our mission as a brand is to curate welcoming spaces for the curious and open minded. Focused on blending spirituality and culture with curiosity to cultivate acceptance without judgment. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Sol & Root is no stranger to change and challenges. Through five years of shifting and finding our footing Sol & Root has transformed from Cosmic Intentions into the company you see today. Our biggest challenge has been staying open and positive during economic rises’ and falls. As a Spiritual Wellness company we occasionally get served with prejudice and fear from people who are unsure of what we do. We chose to turn that into a strength by intentionally create open spaces for judgment free questioning and bridging understanding and acceptance. A major challenge has always been the market space. Doing this full time we are reliant upon our weekend markets and with unpredictable weather and Texas’s attitude we’ve had some gaps which occasionally led to additional struggles.

We also offer free Candle Readings with every candle purchase taking the magic a step further with a complimentary psychic readings based on the intention of the candle. Our candle readings are about a paragraph long containing insights for the individual. Each candle tells a special story.
Another service to highlight is our Aura Paintings & Readings. Salvatore Sol is a intuitive psychic with the ability to sense and see auras. Using this gift he takes a polaroid picture of you then paint was he sees and senses, offering a fun, creativity, and informative reading. He takes the time to describe the colors and their traditional meanings alongside any messages or insights that come through during your session.
Meet the Duo:
Kylo Sorensen
When he’s not working on administrative duties, coordinating events, or managing our social media he’s hard at work crafting the products you know and love. A prime example of the many hats you wear as a small business owner. Professional yapper and reiki practitioner with a background in customer service and advertising/marketing he brings a special kind of magic to every experience. Kyle came to the business as a skeptic and uses his journey as an invitation to the open minded to explore something larger than themselves in a grounded and practical way. Kyle brings immense heart and drive to the business, constantly coming up with new ideas, and creative ways to support and grow our community.
Salvatore Sol, LMT
With 5 years of experience as a spiritual practitioner, Salvatore Sol brings a unique blend of knowledge and passion to each session and experience. He is a licensed massage therapist, reiki master, intuitive psychic and a self proclaimed Spiritual Growth & Guidance Counselor. Weaving intuitive insight with practical guidance he offers an array of psychic and healing services focused on building clarity and trust within oneself as they navigate the forces of life. Specializing in supporting the sensitive, stuck, and those navigating difficult life transitions. Salvatore Sol is also half of the mind behind the products we carry at Sol & Root, creating some of our first candles and oils. You can find Salvatore Sol at Nature’s Treasures in Austin every Thursday offering reading and healing.
What are your plans for the future?
We are currently shifting to set up shop in Bastrop, TX. Our short term goals include a retail space for our metaphysical shop and apothecary alongside a space to offer our services. Part of our transition into the Bastrop community includes our newest quest which is to create events to support and build community with emphasis on wellness, spirituality, and creativity. Each month we are working with a local non-profit organization to help build visibility and anchor in our intention in support of Bastrop County. We try our best to feature local Bastrop artisans and small business owners for each market. We also provide Transparency receipts which shows each vendor exactly where their money is going. As event producers we’ve chosen not to profit from organizing the event, instead we use the funds for advertising and market to bring more people out and to get them excited.
We also offer a FREE monthly Sound Bath at Cedars Coppice off of Chestnut Street every last Friday of the month from 7pm-8pm. Our focus now is building community as begin to transfer into the beautiful city of Bastrop. Within the next couple months you’ll be seeing us popping up and creating a couple more events throughout downtown Bastrop.
