Meet Tiffani Michelle Mapp of Diamond Therapeutic Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffani Michelle Mapp.

Hi Tiffani , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always believed that music has the power to heal, inspire, and transform lives. At my core, I am an international independent artist-songwriter, producer, and visual storyteller who uses music, imagery, and creative expression to encourage healing, self-discovery, and empowerment.

As Tiffani Michelle, I create deeply personal music inspired by my own experiences and the stories of others. My music explores themes of identity, resilience, self-worth, spirituality, higher consciousness, and personal growth, with the intention of inspiring healing, empowerment, and transformation. Through my artistry, I hope to help people feel seen, heard, and inspired while encouraging reflection, healing, and connection to their highest selves. My relationship with God remains the foundation of everything I create.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, I am a trained multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer, and songwriter whose musical roots in jazz and a cappella evolved into a unique blend of Neo-Soul, Alternative R&B, jazz, and electronica influences. Since 2011, my music has reached listeners in more than 90 countries, with particularly strong audiences in the United Kingdom and Brazil. Through digital platforms, global playlists, radio stations, media outlets, interviews, hospitals in the United Kingdom, and creative collaborations, I have built meaningful connections with listeners across cultures and borders. By cultivating relationships with curators, engaging audiences through social media, and exploring international performances and partnerships, I continue to expand the reach of my music worldwide.

My work as an artist is deeply enriched by more than 32 years of experience in education, counseling, psychology, student success, and human services. As an Adjunct Psychology Professor, former Adjunct Mental Health Services Professor, Professional School Counselor, and Women’s Life Coach, I have had the privilege of serving individuals across the lifespan. These experiences have given me a profound understanding of human development, healing, resilience, and personal growth—wisdom that naturally flows into my music, visual storytelling, and creative work.

This intersection of music, education, counseling, and wellness led me to found Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™, a platform dedicated to empowering women and girls through creative expression, mentorship, wellness, and identity development. My mission is to help women and girls strengthen self-image, build self-confidence, cultivate healthy self-esteem, and embrace their authentic voice and purpose.

As I prepare to pursue a Doctor of Social Work (DSW), I am committed to expanding this work by developing innovative approaches that integrate education, counseling, wellness, music, and creative expression to support the mental health, identity development, and empowerment of women and girls.

Today, I continue to use my voice, creativity, and experiences to inspire women and girls around the world to embrace their identity, build confidence, discover their purpose, and step fully into who they were created to be. Whether through music, education, counseling, wellness, or creative expression, my mission remains the same: to inspire healing, self-discovery, confidence, empowerment, and positive change while building meaningful connections across communities and cultures.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am and who I continue to become on this journey of life. As an independent artist, I have had to navigate the realities of building a music career while balancing multiple passions. What may appear to be different career paths—music, education, counseling, wellness, and creative expression—have always been part of one integrated mission: helping people discover their strengths, improve their well-being, and reach their full potential.

I am also a 20-year breast cancer survivor and a survivor of a life-altering medical crisis that occurred 12 years ago, during which I was placed in a coma and coded three times. Afterward, I had to relearn how to move, walk, and even sing again. Those experiences transformed my perspective on life and taught me the importance of faith in God, resilience, self-care, perseverance, and surrounding myself with positive and supportive people. There were seasons when I had to slow down, heal, and rediscover my purpose, but those moments ultimately deepened both my personal growth and my creative expression.

Professionally, I have spent more than 32 years serving others through education, counseling, psychology, student success, and human services. Whether I am creating music, teaching psychology students, supporting social-emotional development in schools, counseling individuals, or developing wellness experiences for women and girls through Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™, I am doing the same work through different lenses. Each role reflects my commitment to identity development, mental health, personal growth, and human empowerment.

Through every challenge, my faith, my love for music, and my commitment to helping others have remained constant. Looking back, I realize that many of the obstacles I faced were not roadblocks, but opportunities to grow, heal, and become more aligned with my purpose. Today, I continue to use music, creative expression, wellness, counseling, and education to inspire healing, self-discovery, confidence, and empowerment in the lives of others.

As I prepare to pursue a Doctor of Social Work (DSW), I look forward to expanding this work by developing innovative approaches that integrate education, mental health, wellness, and creative expression to support the empowerment of women and girls.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Founded in 2018, Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™ was born from my desire to combine my experiences as an independent artist-songwriter, adjunct psychology professor, educator, counselor, and life coach into a platform dedicated to healing, empowerment, and personal growth for women and girls.

Through Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™, I offer life coaching, workshops, masterclasses, restorative sound experiences featuring original music, and personal development programs designed to help women and girls strengthen self-esteem, build self-confidence, cultivate a positive self-image, discover their purpose, and embrace their authentic voice.

What sets my work apart is my ability to integrate music, psychology, counseling, education, coaching, wellness, and creative expression into transformative experiences. Rather than viewing these disciplines as separate paths, I have intentionally woven them together into one mission.

One example is my Tiffani Michelle Restorative Sound Experiences™, immersive wellness experiences that blend original music, guided reflection, mindfulness, meditation, affirmations, and restorative wellness practices designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional well-being, self-care, empowerment, and personal transformation.

I am also the creator of AURA: She Emerges™, a personal development and empowerment program for women and girls that focuses on strengthening self-esteem, self-confidence, self-image, identity, and purpose through creative expression, wellness, mentorship, and transformative experiences.

My commitment to education and empowerment has also led me to develop innovative programs beyond my wellness work. During the pandemic, I created The Game Changers in partnership with Neo2Soul in the United Kingdom, a virtual speaker series that connected my college students with a diverse group of professionals from around the world, including independent artists, actors, healthcare professionals, mental health practitioners, chefs, entrepreneurs, and other industry leaders. The series provided students with encouragement, real-world insights, and exposure to diverse career journeys during a time when many felt isolated and uncertain about the future.

My work has also allowed me to build meaningful international relationships, including serving as Co-Director of Positive Network C.I.C. in the United Kingdom. This global perspective continues to strengthen my mission of using music, creativity, education, psychology, and wellness to positively impact women and girls across diverse communities.

What I am most proud of is creating a brand that authentically reflects who I am. Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™ represents the intersection of my experiences as an artist, educator, psychology professor, counselor, wellness advocate, and aspiring Doctor of Social Work. It embodies a philosophy that guides both my personal and professional life: One Identity. One Mission. Many Expressions.

At its heart, that mission is simple—to help women and girls heal, grow, discover their voice, build confidence, and become the fullest expression of who they were created to be.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is knowing that something I created—whether it’s a song, a conversation, a class, a workshop, a coaching session, or a wellness experience—has positively impacted someone’s life.

I love witnessing people discover their strength, find their voice, build confidence, and see themselves in a new way. As an artist, educator, counselor, psychology professor, and founder of Diamond Therapeutic Wellness™, I have the privilege of supporting people through different seasons of growth, healing, and transformation, and that is incredibly rewarding.

I am also happiest when I am creating, innovating, and building community. Music, visual storytelling, teaching, and developing programs for women and girls allow me to express my purpose while bringing people together through shared experiences. One of the greatest gifts of this journey has been the opportunity to connect with individuals around the world—particularly in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and the United States—through music, education, wellness, and meaningful conversations.

As someone who has overcome significant personal and health challenges, I don’t take those connections for granted. They remind me of the power of resilience, human connection, and the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and empowered.

Most importantly, my faith in God, my relationships with family and loved ones, and the opportunity to walk in my purpose bring me the greatest joy. At the end of the day, knowing that I have helped build community, inspire hope, encourage healing, or empower someone to embrace who they are makes all of the work worthwhile.
