Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My career began during college, where I had the opportunity to intern at a public relations firm. It was there that I discovered my passion for the event side of the industry. This passion led me to open a dynamic rooftop venue in the heart of Hollywood, California, which included a restaurant, nightclub, and pool. I dove into this venture headfirst, learning the ins and outs of event planning and execution entirely on my own. The journey was filled with challenges, but those bumps along the way taught me the importance of adaptability and creativity in delivering memorable events.
After my time at that venue, I joined sbe, a leading hospitality group with headquarters in Los Angeles. This role allowed me to expand my expertise, coordinating events across vibrant cities like LA, Las Vegas, Miami, and even the Bahamas. When the opportunity arose to move to Las Vegas, I jumped at the chance, embracing the new adventure with open arms.
Las Vegas truly became a pivotal chapter in my life. I grew both professionally and personally, rising from an events manager to the Corporate Director of Sales for MGM International. In this capacity, I oversaw unique venues across the entire enterprise. It was also in Las Vegas that I met my husband and welcomed our two beautiful children, making the city a significant part of our family story.
Ultimately, my family and I decided to relocate from Las Vegas to Austin, Texas, driven by our dream of starting our own hospitality and events company, Studio Lobos. Since making that leap, we haven’t looked back. Our journey has been one of passion, resilience, and a commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and the community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my own business has certainly been a journey filled with challenges. As a founder, I wear many hats—managing everything from sales and logistics to HR and accounting. Each day presents its own set of hurdles, whether it’s ensuring that every event runs smoothly or handling the behind-the-scenes details that keep the business afloat.
The reality is that entrepreneurship demands a hands-on approach. I often find myself packing trucks, troubleshooting last-minute issues, and juggling various roles to ensure our company thrives. While the workload can be overwhelming at times, witnessing the success of our events makes it all worthwhile. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our vision come to life and to create memorable experiences for our clients.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Taking risks is an inherent part of entrepreneurship, and for me, one of the most significant risks was leaving my corporate job, relocating my family to Austin, and launching Studio Lobos. It was undeniably a leap of faith, filled with uncertainty and challenges.
While the decision was daunting, I believe that calculated risks can lead to great rewards. Our focus on consistency and commitment to delivering exceptional service drives us forward, instilling confidence that our efforts will pay off in the long run. Embracing this risk has allowed us to create something truly special, and each day reinforces my belief that stepping outside our comfort zone is essential for growth and success.
