Hi Urvano, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, could you tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hello, thank you for this opportunity to share my story. My name is Urvano Gallo and I am the proud owner of Texas Clutter Services. My journey began growing up in a small town called Patricia, TX. I grew up in a very humble home, on a farm, with my father, mother and three older brothers. My father always had an eye for “junk”. He valued other people’s trash and made use of it in his own unique way. He was a jack of all trades and the hardest working man I have ever met. He taught me to work hard in anything that I do and taught me to never give up even though obstacles may come my way. When my father suddenly passed away in 2019, I lost myself in grief. In my darkest days, I felt my father’s presence and l knew that I had to continue pushing myself and not give up on my dreams. I started Texas Clutter Services with just two pieces of plywood and a strap in the bed of a pickup truck. No loans, no investors, just good honest, hard work and my father’s presence by my side. After many early mornings and a lot of late nights, this journey continues. Without the support of my beautiful wife, four very active sons and my community, Texas Clutter Services would not be the local family company that it is today. I am thankful to God for allowing me to serve my community in this way. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new and I pray that the last chapter of my story is worth reading!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life could always be smoother but the obstacles that have come my way have made me stronger. I’ve learned something different from each challenge. No matter how big or small the obstacle may be, I know that challenging myself will bring opportunity and growth. It is a chance for me to dig deep within myself to rise and conquer fears. When I started Texas Clutter Services I had no financial assistance and I am currently still rising daily with just good ol’ hard work and honest service. I am learning as I go and know that my past job experiences and all that my father taught me has brought wisdom to every project I have accomplished.
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Texas Clutter Services?
Texas Clutter Services is a junk removal company. We also offer other services like pressure washing and garage door installs and repairs. I take pride in being straightforward and honest with all of my customers. I’ve worked for many service companies in the past and have learned that customers like honesty, no run around, just straightforward answers. If a certain job requires a certain demand I can not meet, I will be happy to direct them in the right direction instead of “selling the customer” and later giving them excuses of why the project has not been completed. Texas Clutter Services also loves to serve the community and participates in an annual clean-up day helping senior age residents and those with disabilities, remove junk from their residence.
How do you define success?
Success is having time to spare. Success is freedom! Texas Clutter Services is a fairly new company. As we all know with new local family businesses, the first three years are the hardest on the company, the family, and everything in its entirety. All the sacrifices that must be taken are extremely pertinent to the business and its capability to stay open. There are some weeks that I have some time to spare to physically and mentally be present to spend time with my family. This means that I have successfully accomplished a productive day, week or month. I am blessed with my family’s support as we strive to build Texas Clutter Services as the #1 junk removal company!
