Megan, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
“Balance” is the word for this season! I have two small children and three businesses so my husband and I are really learning to balance it all and every day looks different!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Megan Morris, I am the owner of Southern Tease Luxury Hair & Makeup, Megan Morris Photography, and co-owner of Southern Standard Elevated On-Location Bar Services. My husband and I are entrepreneurs at heart and have so much fun growing our businesses with our teams!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My mom! I have very early memories of going to the office with her and listening to her talk on the phone and watching her work. I always admired how professional and knowledgeable she is. I am so grateful to have her as an example!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
When you go through a hard time – especially in business – it gives you no option other than to re-evaluate your “why”. Just making money isn’t enough of a reason to make you keep going when things get really hard. But your “why” will keep you motivated even during the hardest of times!

My faith, my family & friends, and businesses.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
When I make decisions that are aligned with my faith! That is my foundation and I really try to check myself and the choices I make with that in mind.
