Rising Stars: Meet Albert Miranda of Atxfit4life off Yager lane

Today we’d like to introduce you to Albert Miranda.

Hi Albert, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started as a personal trainer at Golds Gym in 2007 but have always wanted to open my own personal training business and worked for Golds for 12 years as a trainer, my last two years as a fitness manager. In March 2020, just like everyone else worldwide, we shut down because of Covid. During that time, I started training some clients out of my garage. At that point, I decided to leave Gold’s Gym and do it full-time and pursue my dream of opening my personal training business, which is now called Atxfit4life. Follow your dream and make them a reality! Been in business for almost 3 years now and have been very successful with the help of my business partner Dawn Maloney.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Believe it or not, it was a pretty smooth transaction. Over the many years of being a trainer, I made many clients that helped me transition over without a doubt. I owe those clients my life because my business wouldn’t be what it is now without them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The biggest reason I became a personal trainer was to help as many people as possible and teach them that a fitness journey is a way of life, not just a habit! I’ve done it all in my fitness world: weight loss, building mass, sport-specific rehabilitation, building confidence, and always staying positive. Consistency is the key to life, which goes for many things, not just fitness! Practice what you preach, and things will fall into place! I’m always up for a challenge, making me a better person in the long run.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Stay strong! I have learned that staying healthy or exercising makes and keeps your metabolism stronger, lowering the risk of getting sick or getting Covid-19. Now, if you get sick or anything, your body fights it off way faster and makes for a speedy recovery!
