Hi Aliyah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Modeling has been a dream of mine since I was young. I’ve always been drawn to fashion and the way it allows people to express themselves with confidence and creativity. Over the years, that passion has only grown stronger, and what started as a childhood dream is now something I’m actively pursuing. Growing up wasn’t always easy. I was often bullied and made fun of for what I wore, whether it was my shoes, shirts, or pants. For a long time, that affected my confidence. As I got older, though, I realized that other people’s opinions don’t define me. At the end of the day, everyone should be free to be themselves and wear what makes them happy. That realization helped me become more confident, embrace my love for fashion, and go after my goals without worrying so much about what others think.
Outside of modeling, I enjoy gaming, baking, and spending time outdoors. People would describe me as silly, goofy, and fun to be around, but also someone with a genuine heart who is loyal to the people I care about. I’m dedicated to continuing to grow, both as a person and in the modeling industry, while staying true to who I am.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not always a smooth road. Modeling comes with many challenges, including rejections, not receiving callbacks, and sometimes never hearing back after submitting applications. There have been moments when I questioned whether I was making progress, but I’ve learned that rejection is a part of the industry. Instead of letting those setbacks discourage me, I use them as motivation to keep improving and pushing forward. My passion for modeling and fashion is what keeps me going. I believe that persistence, hard work, and confidence are key, and no matter how many obstacles I face, I will continue striving toward my goals and never give up on my dream.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am model with a strong passion for fashion, I enjoy working on different types of shoots and bringing unique ideas to life in front of the camera. What I’m most proud of is that I never give up despite of what challenges may come my way .I’m always looking for ways to grow, improve my skills, and bring confidence and energy to every opportunity I’m given.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
One thing that has helped me is putting myself out there and networking as much as possible. I’ve connected with photographers, collaborated on different shoots, and met many other models along the way. Building those relationships has helped me learn, gain experience, and create new opportunities. My advice would be to be open to meeting new people, stay professional, and don’t be afraid to reach out and make connections. You never know where one conversation or collaboration can lead.
