Rising Stars: Meet Alysha Aganon of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysha Aganon.

Hi Alysha , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into this industry wasn’t a straight path. I graduated from nursing school in 2019, but after years of bartending and becoming a mom, life took me in a different direction. Like many women, I found myself searching for something that allowed me to be present for my family while still building a career I was passionate about.

Over the years, I’ve experienced a lot of personal loss and challenges that completely changed my perspective on life. Those experiences taught me that time is precious, healing looks different for everyone, and creating meaningful connections matters. That mindset ultimately led me to permanent makeup and fine line tattooing.

I started my business with a passion for helping women feel confident in their own skin, but it has grown into so much more. Today, I own The Boujee Ink Studio PMU in Cedar Park, Texas, where I specialize in Ombré Powder Brows and fine line tattoos. What began as a dream to create flexibility for my family has evolved into a space where women can feel seen, supported, and empowered.

As a mom of four building a business without a village, every milestone has been earned through determination, faith, and a commitment to serving my clients well. Looking back, I’m grateful for every twist and turn because each one helped shape both the artist and business owner I am today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve had to navigate the challenges of building a business while raising a family, often without the support system that many people take for granted. As a mom of four, balancing motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship has required a lot of sacrifice, late nights, and learning as I go.

Beyond the normal challenges of running a small business, I’ve also experienced significant personal loss throughout my life (losing two of my younger brothers at age 28 and 23, two years apart to suicide). Those experiences tested me in ways I never expected, but they also shaped the resilience and perspective I bring into my work today. There were moments when self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and the pressure of building a reputation from the ground up felt overwhelming.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success rarely happens overnight. Building trust, developing my skills, and growing a business that reflects my values has taken time. Looking back, every challenge taught me something valuable. They strengthened my faith, deepened my commitment to serving others, and ultimately helped me create a business that is built on authenticity, compassion, and genuine connection.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the owner and artist behind The Boujee Ink Studio PMU in Cedar Park, Texas, specializing in Ombré Powder Brows and fine line tattoos. My work is focused on helping women feel confident through natural-looking enhancements and meaningful, personalized artwork.

I’m known for my attention to detail and my customized approach. I believe every face, every story, and every client is different, so I take the time to create results that complement the individual rather than follow trends. What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built within my community and the relationships I’ve developed with my clients.

What sets me apart is that I don’t see this as just a beauty industry service. Technical skill matters, but I believe the real impact comes from making people feel seen, heard, and cared for. My goal is for every client to leave not only loving their results, but feeling more confident than when they walked in.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Honestly, I don’t know that I’d call it luck. I’ve had a lot of really hard things happen in my life, and I’ve had some incredible opportunities too. Looking back, some of the things that felt like the worst moments ended up pushing me toward where I’m supposed to be today.

I think faith, resilience, and just refusing to give up have played a bigger role than luck ever did. Building a business while raising four kids hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned that if you keep showing up, keep learning, and keep doing right by people, things have a way of working out.
