Today we’d like to introduce you to Art Hub ATX Art Hub ATX.
Hi Art Hub ATX, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Art Hub ATX began with a simple but meaningful purpose: to nurture the creative spirit that has always made Austin so special. In a city known for its artists, makers, musicians, and independent voices, we wanted to create a place where that energy could continue to live, grow, and be seen.
Before Art Hub ATX, the building was a 40,000-square-foot insurance office building filled with traditional offices and community spaces. When Art Hub took over, it marked a small but meaningful shift in the building’s story. Office by office, the space was reimagined for creativity, turning former workspaces into studios for animators, painters, designers, fabricators, photographers, and other creative professionals.
As Austin continues to change, many people have noticed that some of the city’s original creative character can feel harder to find. Art Hub ATX exists to help preserve that human touch. What began as a traditional office building has grown into a larger creative campus, now home to over 130 artists and creative professionals working across different disciplines.
Over time, Art Hub has become more than just a place to work. It is a gathering space where artists can create, collaborate, and connect with the public, and where the community can experience the process behind the work. Through open studios, events, partnerships, and everyday creative practice, we are working to keep Austin’s creativity visible and accessible.
Today, Art Hub ATX is still growing, but our mission remains rooted in the same idea: to support the people who make Austin feel like Austin. We are proud to be a home for local creatives and excited to continue shaping Art Hub into a true creative destination for the city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As Austin continues to grow, many of the spaces that have shaped the city’s character have become harder to hold onto. Art Hub ATX stands firmly in support of the people and places that keep Austin human, original, and creative. That responsibility has only made our mission clearer.
Art Hub ATX has grown with strength, intention, and a clear sense of purpose. One of our biggest priorities has been keeping studio spaces accessible for artists and creative professionals, especially in a city where affordability continues to be one of the greatest challenges facing the creative community.
A major part of our work has been building awareness around what is happening here. Art Hub is home to an incredible community of artists, designers, animators, makers, and creative businesses, and we want more people to experience that energy firsthand. This is not just a building full of studios, it is a place where Austin’s creative spirit is actively being supported, protected, and shared.
Keeping this space alive, accessible, and visible takes persistence, but that is what makes the work meaningful. Art Hub ATX continues to grow through resourcefulness, community, and the belief that Austin’s creative future is worth building for.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Art Hub ATX is a creative campus offering studio space, gallery areas, community space, and events for Austin’s artists and creative professionals. What sets us apart is our mission to keep Austin’s creative spirit visible, accessible, and supported.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
For us, networking has been less about seeking traditional mentorship and more about building genuine relationships with people who believe in Austin’s creative future. What has worked best is staying open to collaboration, showing people what is happening inside Art Hub, and inviting artists, creative professionals, local businesses, and brand partners to become part of the community in a meaningful way. We are always looking for partnerships and opportunities that help our creatives grow, bring more visibility to local talent, and strengthen the larger creative ecosystem around us.
