Hi Hillary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I embarked on my career in real estate development somewhat by chance, gaining valuable insights into the industry along the way. My journey took a non-traditional route, as I took a break from Emory University due to a misalignment with its culture and learning environment. I began working for a developer who was undertaking some intriguing projects in Jackson Hole, WY, where I discovered my preference for independence and hands-on work.
This experience led me to transition into finance, which honed my analytical skills while I completed my education in business management. Eventually, I found my true passion in marketing after relocating to Austin, where I focused on direct-to-consumer brands in the health and wellness sector. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with fascinating brands and meet brilliant individuals.
I am always on the lookout for new experiences, and in the process, I have reconnected with my artistic roots, striving to shift the focus away from my serious outward persona. I enjoy experimenting with large-format painting, gardening, cooking, and ceremonial meditation. In every project I undertake, I aim to weave in elements of art and creativity.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life’s journey is rarely smooth or linear, and I believe that this unpredictability is a hallmark of true success. Struggles are essential for growth, and taking time away from familiar surroundings can open doors to new paths filled with valuable insights and skills. Each twist and turn teaches us that facing challenges helps us develop the wisdom needed to cultivate compassion, empathy, and selflessness. I hold this belief close as I pursue new experiences.

I bridge the gap between marketing efforts and actionable decision-making, driving business growth. What sets me apart is my photographic memory, a genuine passion for people, and a seriously unconventional side. These traits enable me to see potential where others might not and to connect deeply with others, even in challenging situations.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Art has allowed me to break free from my seriousness and discover a more spiritual and healing aspect of myself that I was pleasantly surprised to find. I believe it’s essential to approach life like a portfolio. Since achieving work-life balance may not always be feasible, we should focus our attention where we can achieve the greatest return on investment.
