Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! This is Irina, former Spanish teacher turned content creator 😉
I started posting on Instagram as a mere hobby. At the beginning I thought it was only an editing app. With time I started posting more and more, joined Instagram challenges and built a community. For a long time I was only behind the camera, only after years of posting I slowly started to be in front of the camera.
Right now I´m mostly focusing on lifestyle, beauty and fashion, although I´m always open for new challenges. I love the community I´ve built here and I´ll forever be grateful for my job as a content creator. I´m really passionate about it!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think social media gives you a lot of creative freedom and that´s maybe my favorite part of this job. It also challenges you a lot, as it changes all the time. So, if I were to pick a struggle, I would say the constant challenges. I´m always trying to improve and even reinvent myself. That makes this job more fun, but can also be stressful. Because I think it´s one of the few jobs where experience doesn´t really matter that much (or at least in my case). The algorithm rewards new people, new trends, everything has to be fresh. So you´re kind of building a new building all the time (from scrap). Every year, or maybe twice a year. Do you know what i mean?
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the moment I´m working as a content creator on social media.
I am focusing on lifestyle, beauty and fashion.
For the last years I´ve been known for fun transitions, a colorful style, voice overs, Italian vibes and engaging Reels.
The thing I´m most proud of is being able to reinvent and challenge myself in my 4os, in a social media world where most content creators are 10-15 years younger than me 😉
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I´d love to share more authentic content, thoughts and everything more unfiltered (interviews, ideas, BTS, etc) and maybe get more into cinematic videos as well. 2 opposites, I know, but I´m a Gemini, I love contrasts!
