Power comes from pain, and some people suffer more than most. Jay Tha Bachleor Born Jermel Bryan Morphis would lose his mother on just his second birthday on January 14th and his father who he had shared the same birthday with would be murdered in the early 20s of Jays life added to the tramua of already losing his mother. This stunted the Cleveland native’s growth as he had to mature much faster than others but what made things worse he was the baby brother of 2 sisters and one brother and another brother that has yet to be found. The pressure and trauma from these scenarios led him closer to music as a coping mechanism, finding some relief in the words of Jay Z, Michael Jackson, and Kanye West. As he grew older the crutch became a way of life for him, as he discovered modern-day artists and became inspired to tell his story with his mental as a pen and paper. Since then, Jay has sought to break a generational curse of tragedy on his way to becoming an innovator across the industry. The Austin-based musician is making many proud, but his strength is just now resulting in the first bit of success. There is much, much more to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My mindset is always on a higher level so creatively and mentally its ok but in the physical it has been a struggle in my life losing my mom and my dad always hurt but ive came to peace with those situations.
