Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Nava
Hi Stephen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my event rental company with one simple goal: to help families and friends make every party, gathering, and celebration truly unforgettable. I’ve always loved a good party—sharing laughs, snapping pictures, and making memories with the people I care about.
That’s the feeling I want to bring to everyone. Through what we offer, my hope is to help spread the love, joy, and fun that make every event special.
What started in the garage of my home with just four tables and a few chairs has grown into a thriving party rental company. From those humble beginnings, we’ve evolved into a business with a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service and unforgettable experiences.
Our mission is to go above and beyond to exceed expectations, providing everything you need to make your event extraordinary. Whether it’s an intimate backyard party or a grand wedding or quinceañera, we’re here to make sure your event is seamless, beautiful, and full of memories you’ll treasure forever.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I first launched my event rental company, I quickly faced one of the biggest hurdles of all—demand was booming, especially during major holidays like graduations, the 4th of July, and Thanksgiving. Everyone was looking for tables and chairs, but our inventory just couldn’t keep up with the high volume of requests.
I’ve never been a fan of saying “no,” especially when I know how stressful it can be to plan and host an event. Instead of turning people away, I found myself reaching out to competitors and industry colleagues, asking for help to fulfill those orders. It was a challenge, but it also taught me the value of community and collaboration in this business. It was a lesson that turned a stressful situation into an opportunity for growth and building stronger relationships in the industry.
Another challenge I faced early on was trying to do everything myself. At first, I thought I could handle it all, but it quickly became clear that doing so wasn’t practical—especially for larger events. As much as I wanted to take on every task, I realized that to meet the demands of bigger gigs, like a wedding with 100 guests, I couldn’t do it alone.
Trying to complete such a large-scale event in a specific timeframe would have been nearly impossible without help. The pressure to deliver flawless results became overwhelming, and it was a turning point for me. That’s when I learned the value of hiring a team—people who could help ensure everything ran smoothly and that every detail was taken care of. It was a huge shift, but one that made the work more manageable and the results far more polished.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I started my event rental company because I wanted to help people make their events unforgettable. We provide everything from tables and chairs to the little details that bring a celebration to life. Whether it’s a backyard party, a sweet 16, a corporate event, a trade show, a baby shower, or even a hibachi gathering, I just love being a part of those special moments.
What I’m most proud of is how far we’ve come since I started with just a few tables and chairs in my garage. It’s been amazing to build relationships with our clients and help them create memories they’ll keep forever. Watching my team grow and seeing how we’ve consistently exceeded expectations is incredibly rewarding. Every event, big or small, reminds me of how hard we’ve worked and how much we care about what we do.
What really sets us apart is how personal we make everything. We’re not just providing equipment; we’re genuinely invested in making sure your event goes smoothly. I know how stressful it can be to plan everything, so we try to take that weight off your shoulders. If you need us to go the extra mile or help with any last-minute details, we’re always up for it.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has definitely played a role in both my life and my business, but I’ve learned that it’s more about how you handle the situations you’re given than just waiting for things to go your way. In the beginning, there was a bit of good luck—like finding clients who believed in what I was trying to do, even when I was just starting out. But there were also plenty of challenges, and some of those felt like bad luck at the time. For example, when we didn’t have enough inventory during the busy holiday season, I could have seen that as a setback. But it pushed me to be creative and lean on others in the industry, which turned out to be a great lesson in collaboration and building relationships.
I think the key is to keep working hard, be flexible, and take advantage of the good moments when they come. And when things aren’t going perfectly, it’s about finding a way to turn it around and make it work. I’ve realized that luck isn’t everything—it’s about what you do with the opportunities and challenges that come your way.
