Good morning Taylor, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to lead more authentically by sharing more of myself with others. For a long time, I carried the fear of being truly seen. Deep down, I knew the work I was doing was never meant to stay small—it was meant to impact the masses. But before I could fully embrace that, I had to do the inner work to understand and heal parts of myself.
That’s why I started Therapy Sunday, where I share my ongoing healing journey—physically, mentally, and emotionally. By opening up in this way, I’ve learned that vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s strength. It’s the bridge that connects us, and I now feel called to lead from that place of honesty and authenticity.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Taylor Harrell, a 19-time award-winning entrepreneur, CEO of Be Lively Company, and a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program. I’ve also been published on Academia for my work in advancing business and financial literacy. Currently, I’m expanding my Google services to reach more underserved communities and promoting my mission of making financial literacy accessible to all.
Most recently, I launched two membership groups dedicated to teaching financial literacy, building wealth, and extending legacies—empowering individuals and families to create lasting impact for generations to come.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A defining moment for me wasn’t just one event—I experienced three near-death experiences before the age of 32. Those moments changed everything about how I see the world. I came to understand that life is not only fragile but also purposeful. I believe we are each equipped to serve others and to lead with compassion, because connection and kindness are what truly matter.
Those experiences also deepened my conviction that we must empower young leaders—encouraging them to step up, embrace entrepreneurship, and create opportunities that will shape the future. To me, it’s about building a world where resilience, service, and legacy go hand in hand.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are resilient. Don’t let the outside world define who you are or what you’re capable of—you are in control of your own path. Remember that you will always be a work in progress, and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s perfectly okay to not be okay, because every step, even the hard ones, is shaping you into who you’re meant to be.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what matters most to me is growing Be Lively and creating the biggest impact possible. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to empowering others—whether through financial literacy, business growth, or community initiatives. They know that my true measure of success isn’t just in achievements, but in how many lives are positively impacted along the way.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
What I think people may misunderstand about my legacy is that it’s not about me. My work has never been centered on personal recognition—it’s about progressing our future for generations to come. The true purpose is in how we come together to raise the collective, share knowledge, and equip future leaders with the tools they need to succeed. My legacy is rooted in service, impact, and ensuring that what we build today creates opportunities for those who follow tomorrow.
