Eileen Bristol

Sahara Lounge opened in 2011. Prior to that, for 33 years, TC’s Lounge served the East Austin community. The 14 years we have been open has been quite a journey. We present a broad array of live bands, performing musical styles from Afrobeat to Punk as well as some DJ dance parties. Read more>>

The past few years have been an absolute whirlwind! After college I moved to Chicago and began my career as a freight broker. I took a role in carrier sales and truly enjoyed my time working in freight. I entered this world in 1958 and was raised in Killeen, Texas, the first of 8 children. After completing high school in Granville, North Dakota (a rather long story) I attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. I liked playing my grandmothers guitar when I was a child. When I turned 7 she gifted her guitar to me as a birthday gift, I was fascinated with the tuner machine mechanics. 2026 Marks about 20 years of extensive design experience in the fashion industry, particularly in swimwear. My project to graduate from FIDM in Los Angeles, CA, was to pattern, source and sew a 15 piece collection and show at Barker Hanger. I was ready.
